Carcass "Empathological Necroticism"
(taken from "Symphonies of Sickness" CD)
transcribed by grievous - a tireless mofo.
(drop me e-mail if you find mistakes)
Argh - this tune is a monster, but a personal favorite for
it's lack of guitar solos. A lot of the spots where vibrato
is indicated should be only lightly wiggled - listen to the
disc and you'll notice Bill Steer uses a light vibrato quite
frequently to great effect. As a matter of fact, go buy the
damn CD if you don't have it - it's a masterpiece of
technical grind-death-sludge with an original style. The
lyrics aren't included because I assume you already have the
record if you want to play this...
Tune all strings down 5 half-steps (e.g. B E A D ...)
*=vibrato
[pm]=palm mute
[dp]=double pick
INTRO RIFF (x4)
(let ring) (let ring)
After the intro riff, chop an open E power chord 16 times.
RIFF 1 (x4)
