Angel Child - By Oasis, Written and sung by Noel Gallagher
Third song on the Oasis "D'You Know What I Mean?" CD single.
Transcribed by Keith Bradnam
Notes on playing:
1) There's a bit of lovely guitar played after one of the choruses.
I have yet to work this bit out.
2) At the end of each line in the verse (after the Dsus2 chord is
played, there is a sliding up sound. This is where the Dsus2 shape
is slid up two frets, then two notes are picked (A, then G on the
G string) before returning to the Am chord, i.e.
Dsus2 Am
Thanks to Jeff for suggesting this slide bit.
3) The trickiest part is the picking of the Dsus2 chord in the chorus.
In the first chorus the picking pattern is shorter than in the subsequent
choruses. I.e. initially the chords are Dsus2 and then Dsus2/Ab. In a later
chorus, the descending pattern goes a stage further, i.e. Dsus2, Dsus2/Ab,
Dsus2/G.
Dsus2 Dsus2/Ab Dsus2/G
You can probably play quite a few variants on this simple pattern. The
important thing is the descending run on the G string.
